OTHER KNOWN INFORMATION OR COMMENTS:- I feel her father is probably James Gray (illegitimate son of Sir James "Knight of the Bath" because of comments in letters from Caroline's son James Digby Smith from India making reference to "Uncle" who appears to be James Clarke Charnock Gray. There is also a hand written copy of James Clarke Charnock Gray's obituary amongst the old documents and papers I have stating he was the son of Sir James Gray.
