opinion
Q: Would you like to see an ecotourism resort built at Killalea?
Shane Saunders, Barrack Heights
The main worry is they are cutting the hill down. We can jump up and down about it but eventually it will happen anyway.
Kerrie Starling, Mt Pleasant
We are losing our recreational areas. We are concerned about the environment but it is constantly taken away.
Jeff Stanborough, Flinders
It will bring too many people to Killalea and will be detrimental to the environment.
Garry Salis, Albion Park Rail
I don't like the idea. I like the beach the way it is. There will just be too many people.
Jason Norbury, Kiama
I think it's a total disgrace. Why can't they just leave things the way they are meant to be. Next thing you know Burger King will be there.
Maureen Murphy, Windang
I think it's a bad idea. It's where surfers go and it's a natural pristine area.
Trish Orgill, Kiama
I totally believe in parklands, not urban development. Where's it going to end up? Once it goes you never get it back.
Joe Conry, Blue Mountains
It should be left as a park for conservation purposes. There's already enough areas for building and development.
Gerry LeServe, Primbee
I don't think it's a good idea that public properties are sold off for commercial gain. Eventually we will have no Farm left will we?
Margaret LeServe, Primbee
I think there are other areas they could develop rather than taking people's parks away.
Emma Nelson, Shellharbour Village
I think it's terrible what they are doing out there. Look at all the development that's going on out there.
Anne-Marie Gray, Blackbutt
There's too much commercialisation as it is. We need more open space and we should just keep them.
