Killalea trust advertises vacancy

THOSE keen to get an inside look at the Killalea State Park Trust will soon be invited to apply for a vacant position.
The Department of Lands will call for applications for the voluntary position on the trust board next month. The coastal park, between Shellharbour and Kiama, has been subject to much community interest lately, with a development application for a private development due in coming months.
The new appointment will fill a vacancy from last year and the new member will remain until the end of this board's tenure in 2010.
Trust deputy chairman Mark Luchetti said he only knew of the call for a new member when he saw the ad placed by the department on Wednesday.
A department spokeswoman said the advertisement was supposed to have been pulled after a decision that more time was needed to prepare, but there had been a mix-up.
