Maude Blanche Farley | Collingwood, Melbourne, Australia. Marriage Certificate shows Joseph's parents as John James Hore and Margaret Jane Ford and a family story I have been told is that he was raised by "Old Maggie". My uncle also thought that Joseph could have had a brother "Dan". Can anybody help as this could be the couple who raised Joseph and how he got the surname Hore? |

OTHER KNOWN INFORMATION OR COMMENTS:- Other stories I have heard over the years about Joseph include him riding in a Melbourne to Warnambool bike race which must have been around 1910-1915. He was also supposed to have worked at Tarwin Meadows before moving to Rosedale. Another story is that he rode a push-bike from Sydney to Gippsland in his late teens - early twenties.
As Joseph was raised in the Albury area we would like to contact any descendants of Charles Hore (son of William Hore and Margaret Seymour) & Elizabeth Seymour (daughter of James Seymour and Sarah Hoare). They had the following children:- Alfred Joseph Hore born 1874 (who married Maud Emma Smith), Robert Martin Hore born 1876 (who married Ethel E or maybe Edith Elizabeth Beresford), Martin James Hore born 1878, Martha "Matilda" Hore born 1882 (who married Charles Smith), Charles M Hore born 1886, Albert Ernest Hore born 1889 or Thomas Edward Hore born 1891.
