They definitely had a son Henry Digby Mitchell as I have a letter from him to his Aunt Caroline here in Australia from Britannia Square, Worcester.

She was born Abt. 1800 in Calcutta, East Indies, and died 09-Jul-1879 in Lindenow, Gippsland, Vic, Australia.

Marriage to Anne Stanley is yet to be confirmed as correct but appears in old records.

Charles Digby Smith CHARLES DIGBY SMITH (DIGBY2, WILLIAM1) was born 1795.  He must have died before 1833 as he wasn't mentioned in his father's Will.

DIGBY SMITH (COAT OF ARMS)

This photo of the Coat of Arms comes from the inside cover of a book of "Gray's Poems" printed in 1777.  It is also on a seal attached to the gold chain handed down from the eldest son to the eldest son of this Smith family.  

Maybe it was Rev Digby smith who registered this item as he appears to be the first Smith with Digby as a Christian Name and appears to descend from Lord Digby?

Thirty three years Rector of this Parish
who died on the 14th. day of January 1833
in the 81st. year of his Age,
of manners affable and courteous,
of temper amiable and benevolent,
he uniformly endeavoured without ostentation
to exemplify in his life the precepts of the gospel
which till incapacitated by age and infirmities
he diligently and faithfully preached.

who died 17th. August 1838
aged 75 years."
